Oyster Bay Inn And Restaurant

We registered on line for two queen beds and but when we arrived they said they didn't have a room with two beds left. We ended up with a king bed which we didn't want.

It worked out great for a weekend golf trip. It was comfortable, economical, served a reasonably complete warm buffet breakfast and was a short drive to some great golf courses.

Decent hotel. The continental breakfast was nice, had the dining room to ourselves. Although the front desk staff was friendly they didn't seem to want to go out of their way to help. So I felt rushed to get my question answered and not a very important guest. When I asked another if there were any 'must' see attractions before we left town, the response I got was 'not much' this is a navy town. But ended spending a good part of our day there due to some 'locals' recommending some great attractions to see. Another plus is that the hotel is on the water, (although we didn't have a view room) and it is adjacent to fast food restaurants. I'd stay here again.. ...read more

It was on the low end of my expectations, but adequate for the purposes of this trip. The beds were uncomfortable. I would likely look for other accommodations before settling on this hotel in the future. ...read more
